Position: Senior Executive – Quality Assurance (QA)

Job Description:
As a Senior Executive in Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) at General Mills’ Nashik plant, you will play a key role in ensuring excellence in quality, regulatory compliance, and food safety. Reporting to the Food Safety & Quality Manager, your responsibilities include leadership in regulatory compliance, system capability, sanitation, and food safety risk mitigation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical support for new products, reformulations, and capital projects.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations:

Provide leadership in FSQ through technical mastery, covering regulatory compliance, policy adherence, system capability, initiative management, sanitation, hold control, and food safety program management.
Offer technical support for new products, reformulations, and capital projects.
Collaborate with various departments to reduce risk within the operating plant.
Ensure facility compliance with corporate Food Safety & Regulatory policies and standards.
Lead and support regulatory, customer, and third-party audits.
Conduct training in quality systems, SPC, regulatory, and food safety.
Collaborate with sales and R&D to address customer complaints and manage product issues.
Drive overall plant objectives in collaboration with different departments.

Key Interfaces:

Internal: Safety, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance & Operations, XQM, Sourcing, R&D, Regulatory, and Global FSQ.
External: Certification Body, External Labs, Lab Equipment OEM’s, Supplier & Vendors.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Food Science and Technology, or Food Science, Engineering – Chemical).

9+ years of work experience.
Ability to flex work schedule for a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
Understanding of product quality, sensory, and food safety.
Strong understanding of internal policies/standards and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and collaborative communication skills.
