About the Job:

Cargill, a global leader in food and agriculture, is looking for a dynamic Product and Process Development Scientist to join our team in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in defining and executing process and development projects for edible oils.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ideate and build business cases for edible oils, providing direction on opportunities in existing business and new product introductions.
• Support innovation of the edible oils portfolio, contributing to product and process developments, renovations, and staying abreast of industry trends.
• Travel to meet customers, offering world-class technical support.
• Build strong customer relationships, seek new opportunities, and stay current with scientific literature to provide valuable business insights.
• Support marketing for brand positioning and product claims, emphasizing health science and nutrition research.
• Contribute to the innovation pipeline with ideas from scientific research, supporting complex innovation and cost improvement projects.
• Collaborate with businesses and technology partners, including universities and research organizations, for research and development innovation.
• Conduct research and experiments, analyze results, and independently solve moderately complex issues.
• Perform development and application work in the lab to understand product properties, formulate protocols, and establish specifications.
• Develop sensory methods and implement processes.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of seven years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or other tertiary degree.
• Minimum experience in Edible Oils or a related field.
• Experience in Nutrition Science, health, and wellness.
• Familiarity with Indian food laws (FSSAI, Agmark) and working knowledge of international laws (FAO, WHO, EU legislations, Codex, etc.).
