Job Description:

Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the QCM (Quality Control Management) of products and packaging at PepsiCo’s Pune location. Key responsibilities include maintaining quality data, implementing quality auditing systems, ensuring adherence to key controls, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support product and packaging quality delivery.
  • Maintain Quality Management Information System (MIS).
  • Implement Quality Auditing System (QAS) and Analytical System Health Audit (ASHA) requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to Key Controls for finished goods testing.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams for quality metrics.
  • Troubleshoot key quality concerns with QC Executives.
  • Train and enhance skills of QC Executives and associates.
  • Implement quality control systems/standards.
  • Ensure best product quality and minimize customer complaints through stringent quality checks.
  • Lead potato and corn quality management with the plant Agro team.
  • Reduce consumer and customer complaints through CAPA implementation.
  • Lead QAS implementation and improvement YoY.
  • Coordinate with R&D and Commercialization teams for new product launches.
  • Ensure compliance with Q&FS standards.
  • Conduct in-market checks for product and packaging quality.
  • Support food safety team in various compliances.
  • Lead capability building in the QC team.
  • Analyze rejections to reduce the cost of poor quality.
  • Ensure compliance in audits utilizing both physical and virtual means.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • Exposure to food safety and ISO systems.
  • Minimum 5/6 years of experience in the food industry, preferably with shift handling.
  • Knowledge of FSSAL/HACCP/AIB and TPM is preferred.
  • Certification as an internal auditor is desirable.
  • Strong team management, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
